Ever had cleaning your car fix some of the warning lights on your dashboard? Spring sucks here. Frozen mud clogs up everything on the underside of the truck.

Yep. My coworker left it very muddy, I cleaned it, and now it’s muddy again. Damn grids.

The weekend after I got the GTI, I took it down a dirt road and the dust turned off the collision warning sensors. Cleaning fixed it. That should have been a warning for me.

I've sorted out many a parking sensor on people's cars merely by cleaning them, and light and wiper sensors by cleaning the windscreen thoroughly.

One time I forgot to put the oil cap back on my 93 Civic. It made a mess which I didn’t clean up right away. I got a CEL at some point and sprayed down the engine bay with degreaser and hoses it off. CEL went away and never came back.
